The model at a glance
The Samsung MultiXpress X4220RX is a professional A3 colour laser multifunction printer, recommended for businesses, offices, professional practices, schools, public authorities, administrative departments, technical offices, reception areas and workgroups that need to print, copy and scan in colour in A4 and A3 formats.
It is primarily designed for colour office documents, text, invoices, contracts, quotes, presentations, charts, tables, administrative documents, files, internal marketing materials, simple brochures and business printouts with logos and images. It can also handle light graphics and colour presentations, but it is not the first choice for advanced professional graphics or photographic work; for graphics-focused use, Xerox, Ricoh or Konica Minolta would be a better option.
Print speed: up to 22 pages per minute in A4 format, in both colour and black and white.
Functions: print, copy and scan. Fax is optional, depending on the installed configuration.
Duplex: automatic for printing, useful for saving paper and handling professional documents, files, contracts and administrative paperwork. It also has an automatic duplex document feeder, useful for multi-page copying and scanning.
Print resolution: up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Quality suitable for sharp text, professional documents, charts, logos, presentations, simple images and light marketing materials.
Supported formats: A4, A5, A3, Ledger, Legal, Letter, envelopes and custom sizes via trays or the bypass. Ideal for A4 and A3 documents, business presentations, administrative paperwork, product sheets and internal marketing materials.
Supported paper weights: up to approximately 220 g/m² from the trays and up to approximately 176 g/m² from the multipurpose bypass. Suitable for office paper, letterhead, envelopes, labels, lightweight card, thick paper and some compatible glossy media.
Paper capacity: 1,140 sheets standard, comprising 2 x 520-sheet trays and a 100-sheet multipurpose bypass. Expandable to approximately 2,180 sheets with an optional tray.
ADF: 100-sheet automatic document feeder, useful for multi-page copying and scanning. Scanning can reach approximately 45 images per minute in simplex and approximately 18 images per minute in duplex, depending on the mode used.
Connectivity: Gigabit Ethernet, USB and USB Host. Wi-Fi and NFC are optional, available only when dedicated modules or a specific configuration are present.
Operating panel: large 10.1" colour touchscreen with Samsung Smart UX interface based on Android, easy to use for printing, copying, scanning, contacts, settings, applications and document functions.

Work volumes: designed for small and medium workgroups that need A3 colour printing. Indicative maximum monthly duty cycle of up to approximately 100,000 pages; recommended for regular document volumes, not intensive graphic production.
Main consumables: Samsung CLT-K808S black toner with an indicative yield of up to approximately 23,000 pages; CLT-C808S, CLT-M808S and CLT-Y808S colour toners with an indicative yield of up to approximately 20,000 pages each. CLT-R808 drum with an indicative life of up to approximately 100,000 pages and CLT-W808 waste toner container.
