Ricoh SP 8400DN is a professional A3 monochrome laser printer recommended for businesses, offices, professional practices, schools, public authorities, administrative departments, warehouses, in-house print rooms and workgroups that need fast, robust and reliable black-and-white printing, including A3.
It is primarily intended for high-volume document printing: text, invoices, contracts, quotations, delivery notes, administrative documents, forms, office paperwork, files, manuals, reports, legal documents, accounting documents, labels, barcodes and monochrome A3 prints. It is not designed for colour graphics, photographs, copying, scanning or faxing, as it is a monochrome print-only printer.
Print speed: up to 60 pages per minute in A4 black and white. First page out in approximately 2.2 seconds, making it very fast for urgent jobs and frequent print queues.
Functions: print only. It does not have copy, scan or fax functions.
Duplex: automatic duplex printing is built in, helping save paper and manage files, contracts, manuals, reports, administrative documents and professional paperwork.
Print resolution: up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Quality suitable for sharp text, professional documents, tables, barcodes, simple charts, business forms and high-quality monochrome A3 prints.
Supported sizes: A3, A4, A5, A6, B4, B5, B6 and sizes handled via trays or bypass. This is a true professional A3 printer, not simply an A4 printer.
Supported paper weights: 60 to 300 g/m² from the main trays, 52 to 300 g/m² from the bypass and 52 to 256 g/m² for duplex printing. Suitable for office paper, letterhead, recycled paper, thick media, lightweight cardstock, labels and materials compatible with monochrome laser printing.
Paper capacity: 1,200 sheets standard. It can be expanded to approximately 4,700 sheets with optional trays and high-capacity feeders, useful for busy offices with multiple users.
ADF: not present, as the model has no copy or scan functions.
Connectivity: 10/100/1000 Ethernet, USB Host, SD slot and additional options depending on configuration. Wi-Fi should not be considered a key standard feature; it may be available as an option or in specific configurations.
Control panel: 10.1" colour Smart Operation Panel touchscreen, similar to a tablet, for managing print jobs, settings, queues, shortcuts, security features and advanced operations.
