The model at a glance
The Lexmark XM3250 is a professional A4 monochrome laser multifunction printer, recommended for businesses, offices, professional practices, schools, public bodies, administrative departments, warehouses and workgroups that need high-productivity black-and-white printing, copying, scanning and faxing.
It is primarily suited to document printing, text, invoices, contracts, quotations, delivery notes, administrative documents, forms, office paperwork, reports, files, multipage scanning, paper archives and day-to-day document management. It is not designed for colour graphics or photographs, as it is monochrome.
Print speed: up to 50 pages per minute in A4/Letter format in black and white.
Functions: print, copy, scan and fax. Printing is monochrome, while scanning can also capture documents in colour.
Duplex: automatic duplex printing is built in. It also has a single-pass DADF, so it can handle fast double-sided scans in a single pass—useful for digitising contracts, files, multipage documents and administrative paperwork.
Print resolution: up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, with 1,200 Image Quality, 2,400 Image Quality and 600 x 600 dpi modes. Quality is suitable for sharp text, professional documents, tables, barcodes, simple charts and business forms.
Supported formats: A4, A5, A6, Letter, Legal, Executive, Folio, Oficio, Statement, JIS-B5, envelopes and Universal format. A3 is not supported.
Supported paper weights and media: suitable for plain paper, letterhead, envelopes, labels, card stock, transparencies and special media compatible with Lexmark monochrome laser printers.
Paper capacity: 650 sheets standard, comprising a 550-sheet main tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder. Maximum capacity is expandable to approximately 2,300 sheets with optional trays. Standard paper output capacity is 250 sheets.
ADF: 100-sheet DADF with single-pass duplex scanning. Scan speed is up to approximately 47/50 images per minute in simplex and up to approximately 94/100 images per minute in duplex in black and white; in colour, it reaches up to approximately 30/32 images per minute in simplex and 60/64 images per minute in duplex.
Connectivity: USB 2.0, front USB, rear USB and 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet network. Wi-Fi is not built in as standard; it is available as an option via the MarkNet N8372 module. Serial and parallel options are also available depending on configuration.
Control panel: 7" / 17.8 cm colour Lexmark e-Task touchscreen, convenient for copying, scanning, faxing, address book access, network settings, document workflows, integrated apps, user management and security features.
Memory and performance: 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB standard memory and optional hard disk. It is designed for professional environments with print queues, frequent scanning, confidential jobs and advanced document management.
Workload: suited to offices with medium to medium-high print volumes. The recommended monthly volume is approximately 2,000–20,000 pages, with a stated maximum duty cycle of up to approximately 175,000 pages per month.
Main consumables: Lexmark 24B6887 black toner with an approximate yield of up to 21,000 pages. Imaging unit with an approximate life of up to 60,000 pages. The machine is normally supplied with starter toner for approximately 6,000 pages.
