The HP PageWide Pro MFP 477dw is a professional A4 colour multifunction printer with HP PageWide technology, recommended for offices, businesses, professional practices, schools, reception areas, shops, administrative departments and small workgroups that need A4 colour printing, copying, scanning and faxing.
It is suited to colour business documents, text, invoices, contracts, quotations, presentations, charts, tables, product sheets, internal sales materials, simple brochures, lightweight flyers and documents with logos and images. Thanks to PageWide technology, it can also be used for light graphics and office marketing materials, but it is not the first choice for advanced professional graphics, photographs or copy-shop work.
Print speed: up to 40 pages per minute in A4, in both colour and black and white, in Professional mode. In General Office mode, it can reach up to approximately 55 pages per minute.
Functions: printing, copying, scanning and faxing. It is therefore a complete multifunction device for everyday document management.
Duplex: automatic for printing. It also supports duplex copying, scanning and faxing via the automatic document feeder, useful for digitising files, contracts and multipage documents.
Print resolution: up to 2,400 x 1,200 dpi optimised in colour on compatible media and up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi optimised in black and white. Quality is suitable for crisp text, professional documents, charts, logos, simple images, presentations and lightweight sales materials.
Supported formats: A4, A5, A6, B5, envelopes, Letter, Legal and custom sizes up to approximately 216 x 356 mm. A3 is not supported.
Supported paper weights and media: suitable for office paper, letterhead, envelopes, labels, lightweight card, matte paper, compatible photo paper, matte or glossy brochures and special inkjet/PageWide media.
Paper capacity: 550 sheets standard, comprising a 500-sheet main tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose bypass tray. Suitable for small and medium workgroups with regular print volumes.
ADF: 50-sheet automatic document feeder, useful for multipage copying, scanning and faxing. Supports duplex document handling.
Connectivity: USB, Ethernet network, built-in Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and NFC. It also supports mobile printing via HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, the HP app and compatible services.

Main consumables: HP PageWide 973 series cartridges. Standard HP 973A cartridges have an approximate yield of up to 3,500 pages for black and approximately 3,000 pages for each colour. High-yield HP 973X cartridges have an approximate yield of up to 10,000 pages for black and approximately 7,000 pages for each colour.
