HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 700 M775dn MFP
The model at a glance
The HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 Color MFP M775dn is a professional A3/SRA3 colour laser multifunction printer recommended for businesses, offices, professional practices, schools, public bodies, administrative departments, agencies, in-house print centres and workgroups that need to print, copy, scan and digitally manage colour documents.
It is suitable for colour business documents, text, invoices, contracts, quotations, presentations, charts, tables, product sheets, internal sales material, brochures, flyers, booklets, documents with logos and images, and office marketing materials. Thanks to HP ImageREt 3600 technology, Pantone calibration, SRA3 handling and support for paper up to 220 g/m², it can also be used for light graphics and corporate promotional material, but it is not intended for photographic production or intensive professional graphics work.
Print speed: up to 30 pages per minute in A4, in both colour and black and white. Speed remains up to 30 images per minute with automatic duplex printing.
Functions: print, copy, scan, digital sending and direct printing from USB memory. Printing and scanning are in colour. Fax is not included as standard on the M775dn version, but can be added using the optional HP CC487A analogue fax card.
Duplex: automatic duplex printing and copying are integrated. It has a reversing automatic duplex document feeder (ADF), which captures both sides by physically turning the document; it does not use a single-pass system with two scanners. It is suitable for automatically scanning contracts, administrative files, booklets and multipage documents.
Print resolution: up to 600 x 600 dpi in both colour and black and white, with HP ImageREt 3600 technology, HP Easy Color and Pantone calibration. The quality is suitable for crisp text, professional documents, logos, charts, tables, business images, presentations, light brochures and office marketing material.
Supported sizes: A6, A5, A4, A3, RA3, SRA3, RA4, SRA4, B4, B5, B6, Letter, Legal, Ledger, Executive, Statement, 10 x 15 cm, envelopes and custom sizes. The multipurpose tray handles custom media from approximately 76 x 127 mm up to 320 x 470 mm. This makes it a versatile A3/SRA3 multifunction printer, also suitable for media slightly larger than standard A3.
Supported paper weights: approximately 60 to 220 g/m² from compatible main trays. It handles plain paper, light paper, recycled paper, heavy paper, cardstock, glossy paper, HP matte and glossy media, labels, envelopes, transparencies, letterhead, preprinted paper, pre-punched paper and special media compatible with colour laser printers.
Paper capacity: 350 sheets standard, comprising a 250-sheet tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder. Capacity can be expanded with optional 500-sheet trays, feeders with a stand and a high-capacity feeder, up to approximately 4,350 sheets in the M775dn's maximum configuration.
ADF: 100-sheet automatic duplex document feeder. Scan speed reaches approximately 30 pages per minute in simplex, in both colour and black and white, and approximately 14 images per minute when scanning duplex. It supports originals up to A3, with weights of approximately 49 to 120 g/m².
Connectivity: Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000, USB 2.0 host, USB 2.0 device, front USB port for direct printing and saving of documents, internal USB ports, FIH interface and Hardware Integration Pocket. Wi-Fi is not included as standard, but can be added with the HP Jetdirect 2700w J8026A wireless print server. It also supports HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint.
Control panel: tilting 8.07" colour touchscreen, equivalent to approximately 20.5 cm. It enables users to manage copying, scanning, digital sending, stored jobs, the address book, scan previews, settings, security features and document workflows directly from the machine.
Technology and platform: HP LaserJet Enterprise system with HP FutureSmart firmware, Open Extensibility Platform, HP Quick Sets, HP Web Jetadmin, HP Color Access Control, native PDF printing, PostScript Level 3, PCL 5 and PCL 6. It lets users create quick workflows for scanning to email, network folders, FTP and USB memory, as well as manage users, permissions and corporate print policies.
Memory and storage: 800 MHz processor, 1.5 GB standard memory and integrated HP High Performance Secure Hard Disk. These features support print queues, complex documents, large PDF files, frequent scanning, stored jobs and advanced data-protection functions.
Optional finishing: the M775dn version does not support the internal stapling finisher available on the M775z and M775z+ configurations. However, it can be configured with additional paper trays, 500-sheet feeders, a support stand and a high-capacity feeder. It is therefore better suited to printing, scanning and document management than to automatic production of stapled booklets.
Work volumes: suitable for medium-volume offices. The recommended monthly volume is approximately 2,500 to 7,500 pages, while the stated maximum duty cycle is approximately 120,000 pages per month. The recommended monthly scan volume is approximately 6,250 to 10,500 pages.
Main consumables: HP 651A black toner CE340A, with an approximate yield of up to 13,500 pages; HP 651A cyan CE341A, yellow CE342A and magenta CE343A toner, each with an approximate yield of up to 16,000 pages. Yields are stated according to the standards defined for print coverage and may vary depending on the documents produced.
Maintenance components: European 220 V HP CE515A fuser, with an approximate life of up to 150,000 pages; HP CE516A transfer kit, up to 150,000 pages; HP CE980A toner collection unit, up to 150,000 pages; and HP L2718A ADF roller kit. Actual life depends on coverage, media sizes and weights used, and operating conditions.
Recommended use: businesses, administrative offices, professional practices, schools, public bodies, agencies, sales departments and in-house print centres needing colour A3/SRA3 printing, professional documents, presentations, light graphics, corporate brochures, automatic duplex scanning, extensive paper expandability, Gigabit networking and advanced document management. It is less suitable for copy shops with intensive production, photographic printing or jobs requiring finishing, stapling and automatic booklet making.
