The model at a glance
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP223dw is a professional A4 monochrome laser printer, recommended for offices, professional practices, reception areas, warehouses, shops, administrative departments and small workgroups that need fast, compact and reliable black-and-white printing only.
It is primarily suited to printing documents, text, invoices, contracts, quotes, delivery notes, administrative documents, forms, office paperwork, labels and everyday A4 documents. It is not designed for color graphics, photographs, copying or scanning, as it is a monochrome printer for printing only.
Print speed: up to 33 pages per minute in A4 black-and-white. In duplex, it prints up to approximately 28.7 images per minute.
Functions: printing only. It does not have copying, scanning or fax functions.
Duplex: automatic duplex printing is built in, helping save paper and handle professional documents, contracts, files and administrative paperwork.
Print resolution: 600 x 600 dpi, with enhanced quality up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Quality is suitable for sharp text, professional documents, tables, barcodes, simple charts and business forms.
Supported formats: A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter, Legal, Executive, Statement, Oficio, envelopes and custom sizes. It does not support A3.
Supported paper weights: 60 to 120 g/m² from the trays and 60 to 163 g/m² from the multipurpose bypass tray. For duplex printing, it supports paper weighing approximately 60 to 120 g/m².
Paper capacity: 350 sheets standard, comprising a 250-sheet main cassette and a 100-sheet multipurpose bypass tray. Expandable to approximately 900 sheets with an optional 550-sheet cassette.
ADF: not present, as this model does not have copying or scanning functions.
Connectivity: USB, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in Wi-Fi and Wireless Direct. Also supports mobile printing via Apple AirPrint, Mopria, Canon PRINT Business and Canon Print Service Plug-in.
Control panel: 5-line LCD display with physical buttons and numeric keypad, convenient for settings, network and Wi-Fi management, and the machine’s main functions.
Workloads: suitable for small offices and low-to-medium or medium print volumes. Recommended monthly volume is approximately 750 to 4,000 pages, with a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to approximately 80,000 pages.
Main consumables: Canon 057 cartridge with an indicated yield of up to approximately 3,100 pages and high-yield Canon 057H cartridge with an indicated yield of up to approximately 10,000 pages. Initial cartridge yield is approximately 1,500 pages.
