The Brother MFC-L5700DN is a professional A4 monochrome laser multifunction printer, recommended for businesses, offices, professional practices, schools, reception areas, warehouses, administrative departments and small to medium workgroups that need black-and-white printing, copying, scanning and faxing.
It is primarily suited to printing documents, text, invoices, contracts, quotations, delivery notes, administrative documents, forms, files, reports, office paperwork and everyday scans. It is not designed for color graphics or photo printing, as it is monochrome.
Print speed: up to 40 pages per minute in A4 black and white.
Functions: print, copy, scan and fax. Printing is monochrome, while the scanner can also capture documents in color.
Duplex: automatic duplex printing is built in, helping save paper and manage professional documents, contracts, files and administrative paperwork. Automatic duplex scanning from the ADF is not available on this version; it is available on higher models in the same series.
Print resolution: up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Quality is suitable for crisp text, professional documents, tables, barcodes, simple charts and business forms.
Supported formats: A4, A5, A6, Letter, Legal, Executive, Folio, envelopes and custom sizes via the bypass tray. A3 is not supported.
Supported paper weights: 60 to 120 g/m² from the main tray and 60 to 200 g/m² from the multipurpose bypass tray. Duplex printing supports paper weights of approximately 60 to 105 g/m².
Paper capacity: 300 sheets standard, comprising a 250-sheet main tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose bypass tray. Optional trays can be added to increase paper capacity in offices with regular print volumes.
ADF: 50-sheet automatic document feeder, useful for straightforward multipage copying, scanning and faxing.
Connectivity: USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet network. Wi-Fi is not built into the MFC-L5700DN version; for wireless connectivity, it is better to offer a DW variant or a Brother model with native Wi-Fi.
Operating panel: 9.3 cm color touchscreen, easy to use for copying, scanning, faxing, address book, network settings and the machine’s main functions.
Work volumes: suitable for small and medium workgroups with regular document volumes. It is a robust, fast multifunction printer for users who need to handle A4 black-and-white documents every day.
Main consumables: Brother TN-3430 black toner, with an indicative yield of up to approximately 3,000 pages, and high-yield Brother TN-3480 toner, up to approximately 8,000 pages. Brother DR-3400 drum unit, with an indicative life of up to approximately 30,000 pages.
