The Brother MFC-J6957DW is a professional A3 colour inkjet multifunction printer, recommended for businesses, offices, professional practices, schools, agencies, reception areas, administrative departments, sales departments and workgroups that need colour printing, copying, scanning and faxing, including in A3 format.
It is suitable for colour business documents, text, invoices, contracts, quotations, presentations, charts, tables, product sheets, internal sales materials, simple brochures, flyers, documents with logos and images, basic technical drawings and A3 scans. Thanks to its business inkjet technology and high resolution, it can also be used for light graphics and office marketing materials, but it is not the first choice for advanced professional graphics, high-quality photography or intensive copy-shop production.
Print speed: up to 30 images per minute in A4, in both colour and black and white. In duplex, it prints up to approximately 21 images per minute.
Functions: printing, copying, scanning and faxing. It is a complete colour multifunction printer that handles A3 format.
Duplex: automatic up to A3 size for printing, copying, scanning and faxing. This is very useful for offices handling files, contracts, multipage documents, administrative paperwork and A3 duplex scans.
Print resolution: up to 1,200 x 4,800 dpi. Quality suited to sharp text, professional documents, charts, logos, simple images, presentations, product sheets, light brochures and office sales materials.
Supported formats: A3, A4, A5, A6, Ledger, Legal, Letter, Executive, Folio, envelopes, photographs and custom sizes. It also supports long formats up to approximately 1,200 mm. It is not a laser machine, but an A3 business inkjet printer.
Supported paper weights: 64 to 220 g/m² from the main trays and multipurpose bypass tray. With Brother BP71 photo paper, it can handle up to approximately 260 g/m². Suitable for office paper, recycled paper, inkjet paper, glossy paper, envelopes, compatible photo media and light card.
Paper capacity: 850 sheets standard, comprising 3 trays of 250 sheets each and a 100-sheet multipurpose bypass tray. Paper output is up to approximately 100 A4 sheets or 50 A3 sheets.
ADF: 50-sheet automatic document feeder with duplex handling up to A3 size, useful for multipage copying, scanning and faxing.

Work volumes: suitable for small and medium-sized offices with regular print volumes. The recommended monthly volume is approximately 250-3,500 pages. It is a complete and versatile A3 solution, but should not be recommended for intensive production or very high workloads.
Main consumables: Brother LC427BK black, LC427C cyan, LC427M magenta and LC427Y yellow cartridges. High-yield Brother LC427XLBK cartridges yield up to approximately 6,000 pages, and LC427XLC, LC427XLM and LC427XLY up to approximately 5,000 pages per colour.
